What is best? weber one touch silver/gold or kingsford masterbuilt charcoal grill?
I am looking to buy a 18-1/2 inch charcoal grill and looked at weber one touch silver and gold; kingsford masterbuilt kettle grill. the kingsford seems like weber gold one but less expensive. any suggestions? what is the best coal for grilling?
I have had webers most of my life, I did also buy a kingsford barrel type charcoal grill that I use as a smoker cause it has a chimney built into it and is also bigger for larger groups. I do like both however the kingsford has cast iron grill slates and have to be kept oiled so they do not rust. For the money I would buy a weber but get the 21 inch if you have the space, also look for the grill grate that the sides of the grates flip open to add more charcoal or smoking chips without having to remove everything. As far as charcoal, I like the regular kingsford, do not waste your time with the flavored ones, use real chips for that. I also like hardwood natural charcoal, it burns hotter but does not last as long. Each one has it’s pro’s and con’s so I use both for different types of cooking meats
