Patio Pool
resurfacing concrete patio and around pool……?

patio is next to the pool. the patio is a flat slab, the pool is surround with a large aggregate concrete. i think the patio is an original slab for a storage shed back in the 50′s or so. can they both be covered with the same style of concrete….if so how much thickness will it add….AND the large aggregate not only surrounds the pool, it wraps around the edge of the pool, with a 3 or 4 inch lip on top…..
also, is this expensive?
ill answer any questions you have, so check back later……

much thanks

I am not quite sure that I understand your question. But if you want to resurface existing concrete with new concrete and your existing concrete is cracked and uneven then thats not a good idea. Its better to tear out the old and start over with a new pour. If your existing slab is solid and has no cracks then you could resurface it with normal concrete. You need to add the fiberglass reinforcment to the concrete. However there are epoxy types of resurfacing available and they work well. They would be much less expensive than starting over. The cost really depends on where you live from $5.00-$20.00 per square foot installed. Below are some links to help you.
