We have a small charcoal grill $ 15. We live in an apt, 2nd floor, wooden floor and the trees near the patio?
Could we use this small charcoal grill 12 "safely anchor the bridge if we have a fire extinguisher ready and bought a rug to go under or something. It is so small, I think it would be nice … but I wonder about the fly ash and hit the trees or something. The small grill has a low ash catcher underneath. Advice are appreciated. Thank you! Yes we are definitely going to check with the office and discover the laws and Regulations before anything. We not want to put something or someone in danger. We are environmentally friendly too! Therefore, I ask =)
I am a Retired Fire Inspector and Fire Investigator. Most government agencies have codes that apply to apartment complexes, and generally the part of fire codes codes prohibit the use of any portable grills, fireplaces, chimneas, etc. within 15 feet of the building structure. Although you may be lucky with your security procedures, on the other hand something unexpected and unprepared for could produce, and you could end up getting the structure of the fire that could lead to enormous damage and, worse, injury or death to other occupants of the building. I strongly suggest you contact the management of the building, the staff of the Fire Marshal's office to find the right local answer to your question. Good luck.
